1.  What sort of manuscripts do you carry in your showcase?
We showcase manuscripts from writers in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Danish, Norwegian and any other language using the same character set.  Our service to writers is free of charge – and we never refuse submissions.
2.  With so many manuscripts in your showcase, how do I get to those that interest me most?
We know that discovering and promoting authors is a costly business.  So we designed RoseDog.com around the needs of agents and publishers.  Our success in focusing on your needs is what sets us apart from other sites.

Our strategy is summed up in two key words: free and technology.

Free means no fees - no fees to join, no fees for our services and no fees to put you in contact with writers.

Technology refers to software we designed to ensure you get to the work that interests you quickly and efficiently.  You don’t need to install any fancy programs – all you need is an Internet connection.  We offer you everything you need to know about writers and their work and serve it to you through a work organizer.

But we don’t clutter your horizon with stale material.  Our software tracks what you read and your response to it.  So you can keep manuscripts under consideration for a few days, organize them into folders for later review, route them to colleagues for comment and follow up, or never see them again.  Our software tracks it all and you never have to read the same manuscript twice.

In a nutshell, we offer you free access to a large pool of changing literary talent and we give you and your associates the means to process it quickly, efficiently and at no charge.

3.  What changes do I need to make to the computer set-up in my office to use your software and site?
None at all.  You simply need an Internet connection and you need to register with us as an Agent/ Publisher member.
4.  How are you different from other sites showcasing writers’ work?
RoseDog.com offers a complete package of features not found elsewhere.  And no site we are aware of offers a hi-tech solution designed specifically around the business needs of agents and publishers.

We accept all submissions that are not in breach of our terms of service and, thanks to cost-saving software which posts manuscripts without human intervention, we are able to showcase work free of charge.  This is a very attractive option for writers.

Also, unlike sites which showcase unrepresentative excerpts of a writer’s work, we encourage writers to post as much of their work as they want, so you get a real sense of their range and consistency.

Also, unlike other sites we offer an interactive messaging system that allows our writers and readers to interact and discuss the art of writing.  Agents and publishers use the same system to work online together and, when it’s appropriate, to make the first contact with a writer.

5.  What opportunities does your site present to my current business?
We understand that discovering new writers costs money.  Our unique, free software offers you an on-line working tool designed to help you increase the amount of submissions you can review.  It helps you process manuscripts fast and effectively, offering you the opportunity to improve your return on investment.

Our online work organizer rationalizes the reviewing process.  Set parameters for the type of manuscripts you are interested in, only see work which meets your requirements and never read the same work twice.  Multiple cost-saving functions allow you to cream off outstanding writers for immediate attention and keep other promising writers just a mouse click away.

There are no more stuffed mailboxes to clean out either and no more rejection letters to send.  Agents and publishers only have good news for the writers they contact through RoseDog.  It’s more writer-friendly and you save on secretarial costs.

Finally, if you take full advantage of our Internet-based technology you can expand your operations without bricks and mortar.  Add "virtual" associates to your business and improve your chances of success.  You can work with anyone connected to the Internet, anywhere in the world and save on courier and telephone costs.  No software to buy or install and all our services are free.

6.  Can I get a sense of how readers evaluate work in your showcase?
We supply updated figures on how many readers visit each manuscript so you have an insight into readers’ preferences. We supply this data to you automatically, through your work organizer, for every manuscript that turns up in your searches.
7.  How can you help me process query letters and manuscripts I get by regular mail?
Don’t let promising writers slip through the cracks!  Instead of sending rejection letters to borderline cases refer them to us.  Suggest they showcase their work on our site where you can check their progress at arm’s length.  All you need is their manuscript ID number.  That way, borderline submissions don’t eat up space on your desk, but you don’t lose track of them either.
8.  How can I contact authors whose work shows promise?
Email addresses of our authors are confidential.  When you are ready to contact a writer, simply click on the Contact Author button in your work organizer.  Your message is delivered to the writer’s Inbox through our messaging system.  Your own email address remains confidential too and you will only hear from writers you have contacted first.
