What makes RoseDog Books different from other print on demand publishers?

• RoseDog Books has a bookstore returns policy. When book retailers buy books from a publisher in hopes of reselling them to the general public, the industry standard requires that the retailer is allowed to return any unsold books to the publisher for full credit.  However, when books are manufactured using a print on demand method--other publishers do not allow the retailer to return unsold books for full credit.  This means that retailers are then unlikely to stock a POD publisher's books, since unsold books can't be returned. The retailer will only place special orders when the book is requested by a consumer.  ROSEDOG BOOK TITLES ARE FULLY RETURNABLE BY A BOOK RETAILER FOR FULL CREDIT.  THEREFORE, A BOOKSTORE MAY BE MORE LIKELY TO CARRY THAT PUBLISHER'S BOOKS.

• RoseDog’s fees are simple.  Based on our years of experience working with unpublished authors, we developed two different all-inclusive packages that contain elements we know are critical and necessary to properly bring a book into print.   With RoseDog, you pay one price for a complete turnkey publishing services package. Some print on demand publishers “nickel and dime” an author until the eventual fee exceeds RoseDog fees for similar services.

• A RoseDog author’s earnings on sales are simple and easy to understand.  Many other publishers tend to confuse the issue of what you will get for each book sold by paying you based on different retail prices for the book.  A RoseDog book has one retail price (what is printed on the book) and you get paid a percentage of that retail price for each book sold.  It is that simple.
